Some brands are built around a single sport; Billabong has grown into a broader way of life around the ocean. Beginning on Australia's Gold Coast in 1973, the brand started with boardshorts and developed into a global surf-inspired collection spanning performance gear, swimwear and everyday clothing.

The water remains at the center of the range. Men's surfwear includes boardshorts, wetsuits, rashguards and surf tees, while women's collections feature bikinis, one-piece swimsuits, surfwear and technical wetsuits. Current Billabong surf collections are designed around everything from warm-water sessions to colder conditions requiring more substantial wetsuit construction.

Boardshorts remain one of Billabong's signature categories. The current men's range includes performance boardshorts, hybrid shorts and swim trunks in different lengths and fits, with quick-drying fabrics featured across selected styles.
